Crowsheath Fishery – Our FIRST Mixed Social!

Arriving at Crowsheath Lake early Friday morning, all the anglers had a chance to meet each other ready for the walk round… Once we had the go ahead we took a lap of the lake to see if we could see any carp and give everyone a good idea of the swims and what water they commanded.

We then went back to the social area ready for the draw. This draw was slightly different to the usual, being done in two parts. Part one for the double swims for all the anglers booked on in pairs, then part 2 for single swims for everyone else. This giving people the chance to fish with a friend if they wanted to!

With Crowsheath holding a few 30s and numerous 20s everyone was looking forward to getting the rods out!

Iain kick started the social landing the first fish of the social only 10 minutes after getting the rods out, it only got better for everyone…

Within the first 24 hours there was already over 20 carp out across the lake!

The Saturday afternoon, although the weather wasn’t the best, everyone gathered at the social gazebo for a top quality BBQ, free drinks, music and a big social! Lets just say there was smiles all round and everyone had a mega time!

Majority of the lake caught, with 47 carp in total, and many 20s!

We finished the social with a few trophies, biggest fish going to Justin with a 28lb 4oz carp, most fish to Lee with 7 carp, and inspirational angler to no other than Jai, you’re a hero mate!
